Grammenos Mastrojeni
A career diplomat with the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary, Grammenos Mastrojeni has long worked on the links between environmental degradation, climate, security and peace. From 2019 to 2025 he was Deputy Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean for energy and climate action, and since 2026 he has served at the Italian Foreign Ministry’s Directorate General for Development Cooperation. A Club of Rome member, he co-wrote a book on climate and war with climatologist Antonello Pasini.
